The hotel was very warm and inviting. The staff was attentive and helpful. Steve at the bar made great drinks and the housekeeping staff member that also has black and white franchises was great! We traveled with 2 dogs and the hotel was definitely dog friendly. The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. The view and location was worth it. I am sorry I only gave the room 4 stars..it didn’t have a closet so we had stuff all over the room
Perfect, perfect location. Clean rooms. North facing room had view of lake. Very peaceful. A noticeably renovated building. A quiet weekday visit for me but I could see how it could be hectic if all rooms are filled. TV did not work and wasn’t fixed before leaving. I was given a WiFi password that expired hours later. Staff didn’t immediately know new password but was resolved shortly afterwards. I would definitely stay here again.
My hockey team recently had the pleasure of staying at the Laurel hotel, we could not have had a better experience! The rooms were spacious, the staff was amazing and the huge open social areas were perfect to relax and unwind at the end of the day. There was a large room they let the kids play knee hockey in and the adults could relax by the fire. Thank you for making our tournament weekend wonderful!!!
Second time staying here. Phenomenal spot when you’re coming up for a Can-Am. Rooms are always clean, staff is awesome, bartender is great! Staff is great with the kids and really patient. Thanks for another great stay!!
The location of this hotel is perfect for walking down Main St and seeing Lake Placid since it's at the end of the main area. It appears there were renovations done on the main floor since the wood all looked relatively new. The rooms are a good size. They provide continental breakfast and coffee or water is available all day
This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location! We stayed in a lake side King Junior Suite room. The view of Mirror Lake was just gorgeous. Beds were comfortable and enjoyed the extra space with the room. Location is great to walk into town and parking was great even for a crowded lot the first night we arrived. We also enjoyed the breakfast options before heading out on our hikes in the am. We would definitely stay again in this gorgeous hotel!
Great hotel! Visited during a union convention and was very comfortable. The room and view was beautiful and the checkin was quick and smooth. Short walk to the amentities in town and ample parking. Will be my choice when I return. Thank you for a beautiful stay!
My stay here really was magical. At first you think it's a quaint renovated little hotel but as the days went by you fall in love with the place. Its location is incredible, right in front of the lake with beautiful views, but what really got to me was its thoughtful and gorgeous interior design that makes it feel like a 5star hotel. The service is great of course but this place just got my heart from start to end. Every corner and nook feels warm and special. Intentional. Visited for the first time with my husband last year and I'm staying here for a second time this year and I can't wait. I'm obsessed with this little hotel. Such a gem at Lake Placid. Rooms were comfortable and beautiful. Pet friendly is a plus. Bar lounge was amazing. I can't recommend it to my family and friends enough.
